weird, cause awkward is the last thing that comes to mind when I watch him.

Maybe Hakeem? I don't mean to disrespect AD, but I would say Olajuwon was definitely more coordinated.

Lamar Odom is the most coordinated "big" I've seen.

Odom was a good dribbler....who couldnt dribble with his right hand at all

AD's touch around the rim and hands are better. Even a guy like Chris Webber shits on Odom.

He is the smoothest I've ever seen, but I do hold my breath when I see him going to the goal. He does seem to flail his arms and legs a bit.

Magic is #1. Magic was only an inch shorter and was much more coordinated IMO....and yes he was a "bigman". When he started at center in the NBA Finals as a rookie he had 42 points, 15 boards and 7 dimes.

I was going to bring Magic up as well, but it probably deserves a different discussion. 6'9" though... that's no joke.

Why would it deserve a different discussion?

There are a lot of good ones when you aren't talking specifically about "big man" positions like PF and C.

If we are going strictly by height, there are many good choices.

yeh, or Tracy McGrady. There is more to being a big man than height.

You can't keep saying "oh, but he's only an inch shorter" and have a legit convo. It's a slippery slope. Chamberlain was 7'1" and change. Same with Shaq. Hakeem was right at 7'. At some point you have to draw a line. Comparing strictly Davis and Magic is what I think was fair... same with Durant earlier... but they all play different roles.

You still made that I called out your irrational bitterness toward the Seahawks and your invention that Seattle had an NHL team?

To say Davis is def more coordinated than Dream is stupid but then again you've prob never seen Dream play.

I think if they are within an inch of each other its legit. I mean its not like we are talking about only the most coordinated 6"10 player in history.

I lot of this is unfair because if you aren't watching Davis on league pass you barely know his game. We've seen him do the unspeakable, and though he had an incredible game last night, outside of The Shot, he didn't really have that play you go what the frick. We've seen him block guys behind him with his off hand facing forward, throw up the dumbest of shots on a fast break that go in all the time, put in lay ups falling out of bounds using his stretch Armstrong arms, handle the ball like a point guard, and spin move going full steam on a fast break.

Most people couldn't answer objectively in this thread. Pels fans will champion their boy, and the rest have likely not followed him like we have.

Complete myth.

He "started" at C but only played a small portion of the game playing the actual position.

Wilt's career fg% is 54% and he played in an era where he had huge physical advantages over everybody.
Oh really? Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Willis Reed, Elvin Hayes, Wes Unseld, Dave Cowens, Walt Bellamy, Nate Thurmond, and Bob Lanier were all hall of fame centers who played in the NBA during Chamberlain's career. There were plenty of players who had the size to defend Wilt, but none of them could. The same can be said for all great players. Was Michael Jordan's success due solely to physical advantages over opponents?

Most of what he did was dunks and lay-ups.
Why couldn't anyone stop him if that was all he could do?
