Oh, yeah, WM was probably way better then.

That team sounds absolutely stacked.

Davidson's in the state championship this year (we beat them during the regular season, but lost in the regional championship [Elite Eight] to them, that sucked. I honestly think we were better, but we had two major injuries during the playoff game. But anyway...), and they won it all in 2006.

In 07 (my sophomore year), we lost to eventual #2 in the nation (behind Miami Northwestern) Cincy St. Xavier in the state semis 10-7. Had the ball inside the 10 with 10 secs left, no TOs, and went for one shot to the EZ, before we were gonna kick the FG. QB hit the checkdown option who got tackled in bounds at the 3 yd line and we lost. Then they won the next week in the state championship 27-0. That was depressing, to say the least.

Hutchinson HS, Hutchinson, Kansas.

108-11 Since 2000

6 straight state championships since 2004, 4 in 6A, 2 in 5A.

73-5 record since 2004.

21.5 pts, average margine of victory in State Championship Games.

Kansas is not known for their football but I would put this team against anyone in the country and guarntee a close game.

I'm sorry, I can't take a team from Kansas seriously. Maybe I'm just biased, but I think they would have a very bad shot against any top 25 HS team.

And it's not like they've had an undefeated streak in Kansas, either.

No my parents moved out to Kellywood my jr year of HS. I went to Cy Springs for 3 years and had to transfer to Cinco my senior year cause they found out I moved districts. I still hang out with a few people from there but for the most part I stayed close with the people I grew up with at Cy Springs. I played golf at Cinco so I still talk to a couple of those guys. Cant remember if I knew anyone who played soccer for Cinco

There are 3 more Ohio teams that could be mentioned. Massillon Washington Tigers, Canton McKinley Bulldogs, Stuebenville Big Red. All 3 are top 15 nationally in all time wins.

Massillon Washington Tigers: (796-240) 22 State Titles

Canton McKinley Bulldogs: (768-323) 10 State Titles

Stuebenville Big Red: (716-299) 9 State Titles

Don't know about Stuebenville (though they play in a lower division, anyway, since they're a small school), but I believe basically all those titles won by McKinley and Massillon were 80s and before.

So if you talk about all-time, those teams are in the running. But if you're talking recently (i.e. within last 10 or so years) none of those teams are even close.

Converse Judson is usually in Div I and Katy in Div 2 which means Converse Judson is playing in the equivalent of 6A in the playoffs

Yeah, I'd like to see what Katy could do in Division I.

As far as recruiting goes, which KISD school has the Science and Technology Center. I've seen coaches work that one pretty good.

Well the title says "football program", so to me that means program history. If that is the case then those 3 are certainly right at the top. If we are talking the past 10 years then i would agree with you, although all 3 teams made it deep into the playoffs this year. Its hard to argue those facts. Also, when i think of a national elite program i think of their followings....those 3 have the best. When those teams are playing in front of crowds of 18k+

Massillon Washington Tigers (Paul Brown Stadium)

Canton Mckinley Bulldogs (Fawcett Stadium)

Steubenville Big Red (Harding Stadium)

They are ranked in the top 25.

And I think they'd probably lose to most, if not all of the rest of those teams in the top 25.

Again, this is my bias against a team from Kansas. If I truly looked carefully at it, my opinion might change. Do they have any big time recruits?

Off the top of my head Romero Cotton had offers to big 12 schools and went to wrestle at Nebraska last year. Geno Grisham I believe commited to Oklahoma State, maybe KU. They have a few other guys going to KU and KSU. They are known for sending alot of their guys to Coffeyville CC and Butler CC and then D1. Both of these teams are nationally ranked in the top 10 in Community Colleges.

Very solid, but they're in D-III. Heck, Mooney was just moved up from D-IV to D-III and smoked them the other day (I realize this Stuebenville team probably doesn't compare to 05 and 06, but still).
