I dont think he'll last. He's just not good.

He looked pretty good on the field the latter part of his rookie season. He was coming around. never know though. We will see next year or the year after.

You really don't have to have a stellar QB to win a title in college

there are a few pedigreed qb's in the history of the league perform well in the pros.

Theismann
Montana
Namath
Plunkett

Aikman wasn't a champ in college, nor was Brady; Terry Bradshaw went to LaTech

Palmer hasn't been the same since the knee injury and Leinart doesn't have the arm or a quick enough release....who would have though Cassel might end up being the best of the three?

He walked into the best possible scenario and couldn't start. Boldin/Fitz/Breaston to throw to and an old man to beat out and the greatest player ever in college per ESPN couldn't win the job.

Say what? He started his rookie season. He broke his collar bone the next and was beat out by obviously a top 3 QB this year, in a close race.

They're the best school in terms of NFL talent, but QBs isnt their strong point.

Wrong.

Jim Kelly, Testaverde, Kosar...those 3 alone would have to put them up there.

Warner is top 3 because of the greatest receiving corps in the NFL. Swap him with Brees and he's not even top 10. That's what makes Brees the best QB in the game today.

What is your arguement? Neither won a title in college.

He took a Purdue team to the Rose Bowl in 2001 for the first time in decades and broke Big Ten records in his tenure at Purdue.

that was the point: mediocre teams in college, but SuperBowl teams in pros like Aikman and Brady.

I was not arguing. Someone mentioned great NFL QB's who did not win a title in college. I was adding a few to his list.
