Kelly, Testaverde, and Kosar is who he is referring to I believe.

so even if we replace Croyle with Thigpen, the SEC still has the most starting NFL QB's? I did this at a quick glance, i could be wrong.

it's not spin. go pull up past draft numbers or NFL rosters, and look at offense vs. defense for the SEC.

I got Carson Palmer, Aaron Rodgers, and Trent Edwards. Who am I missing?

In one to two years you can add Matt Leinhart as a starter. He has not had a good opp yet with his injury and Warner's all-star play yet. His first season as a starter was average for a rookie starter.

looks like the current winner is the SEC, but it looks like history shows the NFL to be the great equalizer.

He doesn't have the arm or the release to be great in the NFL. He could get away with it in college because he's so accurate

think the fact that some of these small school guys are able to start more games as opposed to some guys at bigger schools with more competition helps them be more battle tested/developed as a QB?

With Cassell that would be 3 starters from USC, if Booty works his way that would be 4.

No one has mentioned the glaring message of that list. You really don't have to have a stellar QB to win a title in college. Leinart is the only one that won a title and he's not the starter.

I doubt Booty will, but you never know. Sanchez will very likely be a starter and a good one at that.

Do you think that Palmer, Cassel, and Leinart will ever start at the same time? It's never happened before, so 3 is a stretch.

Agreed.

He walked into the best possible scenario and couldn't start. Boldin/Fitz/Breaston to throw to and an old man to beat out and the greatest player ever in college per ESPN couldn't win the job.
