Short, horizontal passing is still a thing but it requires accurate passing and precisive routes

The concepts are around but modern offenses are (and have to be) multiple

Kind of... I don't think anyone is running the pro set anymore, but the same general principles are absolutely being used from the shotgun/spread (Kiffin being one of them)

Yeah...those Ken Anderson Bengals and the Montana/Young 49er offenses didn't spread you out on the regular, and even on 3rd downs, the QB was typically still under center. Even as other offenses across the league was having their QB go into the shotgun at least on 3rd downs.

The Chiefs and Andy Reid run a WCO, as does Minny, GB, and SF.
