It amazes me that organizations don’t focus on the offensive and defensive fronts before adding in skill positions. Being really good at those positions will make below average to average skill guys look elite

Outside of Mahomes and Brady, all QBs are crapped on. Josh Allen is probably second, I would prefer him over Mahomes, but fans absolutely trash him. No QB is good enough for nfl fans.

You don't win w/o a QB. Period. So yes, it is worth it even though the odds are 50/50.

This just isn’t true when Brady, Purdy, Cousins, and Dak are current / recent examples.

that’s 4 QBs over a 20 year span.

After reviewing the evidence it is my belief that drafting a qb with the first overall pick is a waste.

Depends on who the QB is. If he truly checks all the boxes, you need to take him. If he’s lacking something, it is best not to overreach in spite of the importance of the position.

The Bears do not have a choice. If you don't take Williams and he is good at all, you are never getting another job in the leagu

Of course they have a choice. They were in this same position last year and made the great decision to trade the pick. They didnt "earn" the #1 pick this year, they went 7-10 last year. The only reason we are discussing the Bears and not Carolina is due to that trade.

They need to do the same thing this year with Washington or New England, regardless of how little they are offered. Chances are they will get another #1 pick in 2025 (as well as other picks/players) and still take one of the two remaining QBs at #2 or #3. This not only takes the pressure off the front office, it gives Mayes or Daniels more weapons.

And even if he ain’t HIM, you got four years where you’re not paying established starter money and can go all out in other spots on your roster
