HE has a number 1 defense, and a top 1-2 running back. He hasn't been dominating the league, the seahawks have. He is good but all time that is crazy at this point.

Why are diminishing him? Without Wilson, the Seahawks aren't winning anything this year.

it would've been awesome to watch Matt Flynn beat Peyton Manning in a Super Bowl.

Your telling me this team wouldn't win with Alex Smith? A well known "back up" to the Colin.

My point is Russell Wilson isn't the ONLY one who could win with this team. The team around his was incredible. He was very good but not irreplaceable

Flynn already exposed Aaron Rodgers as a system QB...what's another conquering another QB to him?

A better question is how many other QBs are making less than 600,000 and starting for their team.

When they have to drop over 10-15 mil a season to keep him after this contract runs out we'll see how good they continue to be.

Same with 49ers. Kaepernick is making what 700,000?

I bet Denver would have had a slightly better defense if they had 17.5 mill of Peyton's salary back to pay defensive players.

But he is a DT QB right? So maybe they can lowball him.

Alex Smith isn't:

Smart?
Can't run?
Can't throw?
Isn't well spoken?

I'm not saying Russell Wilson isn't better. I'm simply saying you cannot be in he top 15 of all time if your not irreplaceable. I'm just comparing him to someone who I believe is similar.

And this is only comparing Wilson to Smith. That's embarrassing considering your question was is he a top 15 all time.

Alex Smith is not in the same league as Wilson. Sorry, but that chump has a noodle arm and bronze for feet. Sure, he might be able to rattle off a dazzling speech here and there, but flowery words can't protect him 300 pound monsters and keep his balls magically floating in air.

Wilson is the complete package. Name another all time.

I think he meant top 15 all time.

He's top 15 in the league, right now, no question.
