i like him because so many people irrationally hate him

I had 22-1 on Dechambeau, so of course he shits all over himself down the stretch.

If my memory serves me right he was in a waste bunker. Waste bunkers are not raked and kept up like a normal bunker

Yup. I thought that Jordan Spieth was going to be the heir to the throne, but right now, it's up for grabs. If Pat Baw can get consistent, we might see 3-4 wins a year. Problem is, if things get bad for him, they get bad in a hurry. Besides, Pat Baw is captain America. Tiger/Eldrick was a scumbag too.

He does what he wants, when he wants - he's an unhealthy Enneagram 3, which is in a way, is why he's so good at what he does.

You can take practice swings and ground your club in a waste bunker. You cannot, however, create a better lie which is what Reed was penalized for. I can assure you he knew what he was doing. As a college 4 year lettermen in golf I can guarantee what he did was premeditated because the club, at that level, is basically an extension of your arm. you practice so much and and you’re so used to having a club in your hand that what he did was an egregious violation. The PGA did their best to suppress it as Reed is a money maker for them.

Most higher level players and almost all pros will not ground the club in that situation because the potential for creating a better lie increases when you’re talking about fluffy sand. If it was wet, compact sand it’s not as easy to break that rule. The fact that he grounded the club with a fluffy lie tells you all you need to know.
