You can’t spell Lincoln without 2 L’s.

This is what happens when you don’t have an experienced transfer QB on the roster. Seeing what he can do with his own guy.

He’ll bail on Oklahoma and go to the Pros before his seat gets remotely hot

This is what will happen. It looks like Kingsbury is working out in Arizona which means other teams will try and imitate it & Riley fits that mold.

For all the hype he gets, he recruits zero defensive talent

OU has only signed like 4 top 100 DL in the last decade but Riley brought in 3 of them. They build to outscore Big 12 teams, Rattler just isn't good enough to do it yet.

I remember when the Oklahoma boards couldn’t wait for Hurts to move on so Rattler would play. So much for that.

Get him and overpay a Lovie Smith type (older defensive coordinator with a good record who realistically has no NFL HC shot anymore) as a mentor.

Riley is very young, do not forget that. He is learning. Guarantee he struggled with the Covid change more than a coach who's been around a lot longer.

He is not getting fired anytime soon. He is a young offensive guru that produces first round QBs on the regular and puts a ton of eyes on OU every year. He clearly knows defense is the biggest hurdle. If he can figure that out finally, they will be incredibly dangerous.

Brees retires after this year, Payton goes with him.

Riley / Crab Legs Winston dominate the league

Ou should be gone from top25 for rest of season, but media will keep them moving up, and push them high if they can beat Okie light.

It's what the CFB media do

Because of the weirdness of this season, he will get a pass.
