Is Kurt Warner a top 10 qb of all time?

2 MVPs, 3 Super Bowl appearances, 1 Championship, 1 Super Bowl MVP, 3-0 in conference championship games. Took two underwhelming franchises to the superbowl. Never had a dominant defense

No way you can name 20 QBs with better resumes unless you are throwing out some longevity numbers with QBs that stuck around for 20+ years on 8-8 teams

I will die on the hill that Rodgers is one of the most overrated QBs of all time.
Man had the skills but he squandered so many home field advantages. It became a yearly ritual to lose a playoff home game and it’s not like he didn’t have defenses. But hey give him more MVPs.

No. As much as I like Warner, he got into the HOF way too soon.
According to Pro Football Reference, the most similar players to him are Rich Gannon and Jeff Garcia.
Incidentally, the only seasons where Warner started every game, he made the Super Bowl, which is actually pretty remarkable. However, that also means he got injured or was benched in every other season of his career.

He had some great years but not many, and even fewer outside of the Mike Martz offense. Only 4 years overall with more than 3500 yards. He also got benched 4 times. He got replaced by Marc Bulger and cut by STL with 3 years left on his contract, benched for an Eli Manning who wasn’t ready to be starting (in an era when teams did not rush young QBs into action, but his average play didn’t warrant delaying it), and benched for both Josh McCown and Matt Leinart after mediocre runs in AZ
It’s not a career compatible with Top 10 talk and the notion is way closer to laughable. He should arguably still be waiting for Canton, he got in way earlier than deserved because he’s a well-liked media personality

Warner packed a lot of accomplishment into 116 regular season games. And the three Super Bowls weren’t simply three appearances with the same dynasty. Warner reached two with the Rams, disappeared from NFL relevance for a few years, and then came back and took the Cardinals to one. Pretty solid.

There are very few professional athletes whose careers could genuinely provide enough material for a great movie script. Kurt Warner is one of them. His journey from stocking grocery-store shelves and playing Arena Football to becoming an NFL MVP, Super Bowl champion, and Hall of Famer almost sounds too improbable to be true. It’s a story of rejection, perseverance, faith, opportunity, and ultimately greatness.
Even if Kurt Warner's statistics and accolades on the field do not rank him in the top-10 of all time because of his late start to his NFL career, I think his story is top-5.

Warner needed to be surrounded by superstars to even be decent
Look how he did with the Giants
Those Rams teams still performed well with Trent Green and Marc Bulger when Warner got hurt
When he did have the best receiving corps in football to work with, he was great, but so was everyone else in his position
