Is Josh Cribbs a Hall of Famer?

Is Josh Cribbs a Hall of Famer? If Devin Hester is a Hall of Famer, then so is Josh Cribbs. Josh Cribbs is actually ahead of Devin Hester in every Kickoff Return category, Hester is ahead in Punt Returns. Josh Cribbs never gets the recognition he deserves because the Browns have been so bad for so long, but make no mistake, Josh Cribbs was unbelievable at kickoff returns and punt returns as well. In fact, something that i think never got talked about enough, is how the two greatest return men in the history of the NFL were playing at the exact same time.

No. Partially bc the NFL doesn’t want to highlight kickoffs. And partially bc his career is nowhere near comparable to Devin Hester’s. Hester had 20 return touchdowns, Cribbs had 11 return touchdowns. He may have been better at kickoff returns than Hester, but he was far less of a weapon. Hester was actually extremely dangerous

Incorrect...Hester had 14 Punt Return TDs and 6 Kickoff Tds. There is a difference. Cribbs is the NFL All time leader with 8 Kick Off Returns for TDs. Cribbs i believe also as the All time record for average per return.

20 vs 11 total in return TDs. In a return world, that’s massive.

Ok, he was slightly better at kickoffs than Hester. That’s what I said. Cribbs had 2 more kickoff TDs. Big deal. Hester had 9 more total returns for TDs. Far better player than Cribbs

More info: Cribbs averaged 1.2 more yards per return than Hester. Not a big deal. He did have two more return touchdowns in his career, yes. But he had 426 total kickoff returns to Hester’s 295. So Cribbs has 44% more kickoff returns and only had 2 more touchdowns. He averaged 0.112 points per return over his career, Hester averaged 0.122 points per return

He absolutely is not but I do know the speed option with Cribbs/Kent State in NCAA 04ish went hard in the paint
