We are talking about postseason, it's what separates the men from the boys. Flacco rises to the occasion. I like Matt Ryan alot but until he makes a legit playoff run he is a step behind Flacco.

Matt Ryan has a better QB rating in the playoffs than Flacco does

Flacco has had more post season success than 90% of all QBs. I guess he is better than them to by your retarded logic.

Someone is butthurt their quarterback is not as good as Joe Flacco.

This year, yes. He made the plays to win the game that not many gave them a chance to win. We aren't talking about fantasy football here. Don't look at stats, watch the games. He doesn't let the big game pressure get to him like some do.

I think if the only crutch you have to lean on to make this ridiculous argument that Flacco is superior to Ryan (even though records and stats say completely otherwise) is that Flacco wins in the playoffs, I think it's worth comparing the two teams' defenses. You know, the unit that actually wins you playoff games in the NFL.

Ravens D the past 5 years >>>>>>>>>> Falcons D

This, and only this, is the only reason Flacco has more playoff wins, and therefore, the only reason Flacco is "better".

Even though we all truly know he's not.

How about comparing offensive skill positions.

The ravens defense has been middle of the pack at best this year, Atlanta's is probably ranked higher in terms of the stats you love. Yet they are in the Super Bowl. This isn't the Trent Dilfer Ravens D. And I like Matt Ryan, I am not bashing him, but today Flacco is better.

Like I said, defenses are what win you playoff games.

But if you want to compare skill positions, I'd more than happy to point out that the Ravens have had one of the best RBs in the league for the past 5 years.

Flacco also has a MUCH bigger sample size.

Flacco doesn't have near the offense Ryan does and somehow manages to win playoff games. Everyone made fun of Flacco saying he is a top 5 qb in the league, but he sure had a great year. If he keeps it up, in a couple years he may well be top 5. Especially if he pulls out a SB victory this weekend.

Saints fans rip on Ryan all day long for not producing in the postseason then they'd take him over someone who's won in the postseason every single season of his career?

Lol, there's not a single reason why you'd take Ryan over Flacco. Not saying it's a $7 mil gap, but it is most certainly a gap

I'm not one of those people. When judging a QB, I look at how HE plays, not what his team does.

Mark Sanchez has more playoff wins than Ryan. Is he a better QB? Of course not.

If you want to talk about sample size then you can't focus on the playoffs.

You have to take the regular season into account.

Matt Ryan's numbers are skewed because he plays over half his games inside a dome. Also, Flacco has to go up against AFC North defenses that are significantly tougher than defenses in the NFC South.

In a way, yes. But at least Brees showed the ability to be an elite QB in San Diego. He has also historically played well against good opponents in cold weather.

I don't think Flacco is 7 million better than Ryan but if I had to pick one of them to win a playoff game, I'd go with Flacco every time. He seems to rise to the occasion more than Ryan.

Now, to be fair. I think Atlanta's playoff woes have more to do with terrible coaching decisions than Matt Ryan. Though he does seem to commit untimely turnovers in the post season
