Is it just me or is the World Cup going to be a gigantic flop?

People aren't traveling to America because they are scared to death to travel here.
I watch a lot of videos where people from other countries visit America for the first time and every single one of them talked about how scared they were of traveling here because their local news back in their countries talk about the USA 24/7 and how dangerous and unsafe it is to visit here.
Once they got here and stayed for their week or two they never wanted to even think about returning back home because they fell in love with our country and all of the American people they met
Here in Atlanta.. I'm hearing that there are still a lot of rooms available in the hotels..
that is not a good sign - I just feel like this thing is going to be a flop with a lot of empty seats in the stadiums. I hope I'm wrong but I'm just not seeing the hype around it like I envisioned it would have been years ago when they first announced the World Cup in America

I don't watch CNN.
I'm telling you that people are scared to travel here because of the propaganda their media spews about America being very unsafe and dangerous for tourists.. that's the fricking point of my post

I'm citing videos of people who live in different countries that visit our country for the first time and they have all said for years that their media makes America look like a 3rd world dangerous Shithole country which is probably the reason the world cup is not seeing ticket/hotel sales it wanted

How many people truly travel for the WC? I’m sure there are die hards for each squad, but how many people outside of South America flocked to Rio? Were the stadiums in Qatar packed? I don’t know, honest question.
I feel like the price dictates the journey more than anything else.

Yeah, I think the biggest issue isn't what foreigners are being told on TV but seeing how much these tickets cost. It's gotten a lot of bad publicity just on that alone.

You see what tickets are going for most matches? All the BS political rhetoric wont make a real difference. World Cup and Olympics are all kind of vaccinated against the political nonsense generally
