Pretty much consensus he’s the best return man to ever lace em up. Teams game planned for him, rare for a special teamer.

What do you think?

4x Pro Bowl
3x 1st team All Pro
1x 2nd team All Pro
2000s All decade team
11,000+ total return yards.

NFL Records:
20 total return Tds
14 punt return Tds
6 total return tds in a season

Also has 255 catches for 3,311 and 16tds

Yes, though several years down the line.

Absolutely. And unfortunately it's the last time you'll ever see it because of the shitty kickoff changes

Yes. There are kickers in the HOF, so I don't see why a return specialist (namely, the greatest of all time) shouldn't be.

IMO he should be and IMO he should be first-ballot

He's the best ever at his position..

he may not be a first ballot (I didn't look up who he will be up against) but he will definitely get in

He’s the best to ever do what he did. I think he should be an easy first ballot as well.

Yes. The HOF is supposed to be a group of the best players in NFL history and Hester has a strong case for being the best return man in NFL history.

He belongs in the HOF.

I struggle to see the argument for keeping him out. We have data that supports him being the best player ever at a position. Seems pretty straightforward

Yes. He along with Dante hall showed how important a completely overlooked position can be.

no. being an elite kick return is not one of the best to ever play the game in my unpopular opinion. was only on the field for a few snaps a game.

no spec teams td in 08, 09 and 12, 15-16. defenders like urlacher on those bears teams are much more deserving.

I don't think he belongs but the NFL HOF isn't really that big of a deal so I'm sure he'll make it.

It would be like putting the greatest pinch hitter of all time in the baseball HOF. yea he's a pinch hitter because he sucks at everything else enough that he can't start.

36 TDs. You're going to put a skill player in the NFL HOF for 36 TDs? whatever

I wouldn’t think so but you never know with the NFL.

Because no one sane would kick to the man. He had a drastic impact on field position because of this.

Its like saying if a player gets walked all the time they aren't a good hitter. No, its BECAUSE they're a great hitter and the team was better off for it because they got on base and made it easier to score runs (or had great field position in this case and easier to score points).
