Considering to this point his career arc mirrors Shareef Abdur-Rahim, he is going to have to do a Hell of a lot more to garner serious consideration.

I think he has the makings of a HOF career. Obviously way too early, but if he keeps it up for or another 7 or so yrs then I say he gets in.

Not sure if you just messing with this guy or what but Dirk is already of HOF'r in most people's minds.

I would be surprised if he isn't a 1st ballot guy.

This. Assuming the Heat win a few championships and he plays like he did this year and especially in the playoffs. 19-9 over 6-7 years and multiple titles = HoF.

Do you feel that way about James Worthy?

or, do you just freely admit that you're biased against Bosh?

I'm not biased against Bosh. I have absolutely nothing against him. He is a nice player.

He is not close, nor will he likely ever be close to a hall of fame caliber player. Anyone that has watched basketball on a semi-regular bases for more than 5 years knows this.

James Worthy is a top 50 player of all time. Bosh has performed just as good as James Worthy basically.

Rather than pulling the lame "anyone who has watched nonsense", what sort of actual reasons do you have to say Worthy is top 50 but a guy who produces more overall isn't even HOF worth, assuming he wins a couple of rings????

not really a bad thing, as Abur-Rahim was an All star caliber player

Bosh would have to start sucking next year to make that a good comparison

Rahim fizzled out at 27.

You understand that stats can be skewed and actually watching someone is very valuable in an evaluation, right?

Did I say that?

ETA: Also, I believe Worthy never padded his stats as a good player on a shite team. Didn't he win a finals MVP one time too? Also, wasn't he on a team where the load was spread around (magic, kareem, cooper, scott, etc.), thus reducing his personal stats?

Ok, so again, what are your thoughs on Chris Bosh, compared with James Worthy?

No one denies that Worthy was a legit HOFer, no one that I know of.

I don't see how one can think Worthy was THAT much better than Bosh.

Anyone that has watched the two play, can, and likely will say that.

Why the strange and unreasonable need to assert that Bosh is something he clearly isn't?

ETA: Is Zach Randolph a HOF? Elton Brand? Amare Stoudemire? What if they joined the Heat or Lakers and won a couple of titles?

So, you have no reason, got it.

You realize Bosh averaged 19 and 9 this year as a 3rd option right? But that counts for nothing I guess.

What makes Bosh performing and producing MORE than Worthy not as good? What are those reasons that you and other basketball guys know of?

Why the strange and unreasonable need to assert Bosh isn't something that he has the potential to be without even trying to give one single logical reason for it?

Yeah, he isn't HOF worthy, unless the HOF is Hall of pretty good third options.

Is Zach Randolph a HOF? Elton Brand? Amare Stoudemire (more of HOF than Bosh BTW)? What if they joined the Heat or Lakers and won a couple of titles?

I assume you are a Heat fan?

Is there any particular reason why you won't explain the differences between Bosh and Worthy that you and all these NBA guys can easily see?

I just wonder why you keep dodging that question, as it is a pretty legit question.

You can't argue Bosh's production/efficiency, it's there. I just wanna know why it doesn't mean as much as a someone like a James Worthy, cause I think that is a solid comparison.

I'm a fan of logic and reason and backing up opinions with facts or numbers based on production. I'm not a fan of just saying something is so just because you said so and no other reason.
