Is BYU at #8 the most obvious Notre Dame favor that has happened in a long time?

ND schedule blows, they play BYU and Miami and that’s it. Now I agree that Miami is a top 10 team and a very good opponent. However, BYU is ranked 8 because the media and the CFP committee need a high ranked win other than a Miami loss for ND.
Case in point…. BYU has played:
Utah Tech - beating
Arizona - very much a ball game
Colorado Sate - not an impressive win
TCU - easily could have lost
The funny thing is the rankings
After the first 3 games…. They had a bye week… and even though LSU beat the tar out of A&M, BYU remained the same and were not jumped..
Then they squeak by a very average TCU and they jump to #8!!
BYU with that schedule and no real reason to be ranked highly to start the season, are sitting at 8. No surprise they play ND in 2 weeks.
I predict a very competitive game against Iowa State this weekend that they barely win… somehow they jump to 6 or 7 just in time for ND to beat them by 14-21 and then the media can claim ND as elite.
ND may be elite. But it isn’t because of beating BYU

It’s seems very obvious that’s exactly what’s happening

To be fair notre dame could be in the B1G and play an equally putrid schedule

ND is good, but not elite. They’ll beat BYU by 3 TDs.

Jockeying for ND to have a top 10 at the time win over BYU to strengthen their resume
I hope Miami beats the shite out of the Irish

Preseason rankings are based off the previous season, they were 12-2 and finished AP #11. Any team would be ranked right around where they are. I think most of you are forgetting they were that highly ranked to finish last season and returned a lot of their top players.
Furthermore, Kalani Sitake is a very good coach and they have 10 projected NFL draft picks.
BYU is 27-4 (17-3) over the last 3 seasons. Stop the hate and beat ND!
