Yes. Mahomes wouldn't even be ome of the top 5 QB's in the league without him.

I think so. Some coaches benefit from getting into a lucky situation with a franchise. He's had 2 franchises at the top. Was an assistant on a bunch of really good packer teams also from the 90s

But it's hard to compare modern coaches to the old school guys, who had to cook from scratch and build the game and league into what it became.
Old schools guys would have no idea what to do with modern athletes

I mean, they also wouldn’t know what to do with an iPhone or digital recordings
A guy like Halas was running the entire operation and had to worry about making payroll in the early days.
You can’t really compare the modern era with pre-SB era. Hell, you can’t even compare lifestyles of the average person from those eras. It’s vastly different.

Yes. Top 5. Super Bowl appearances with two teams. Multiple SB wins.

How is this a question?

We’re in agreement. As time continues to drag on, all time lists will continue to become less and less legit. Just completely different sports

Why did Reid get fired by the eagles again

3 SBs, success with 2 franchises.
This right here.
Not only does he have 3 SB wins, he’s the winningest coach in the history of 2 different franchises.
And it’s not like those franchises are the Titans and the Texans.
And he has 130+ wins for both.

Jim Johnson died and he could no longer win 10+ games with the likes of Kevin Kolb after doing so with journeyman QBs and going to SBs with Donovan McNabb for 15 yrs.
Go look when he has an elite DC like Johnson or Spagnuolo. He will almost always make the deep playoff runs.
The 2000s saw the best OC of the last 30 yrs (Reid) and the best DC of fhe last 30+ yrs (Belichick) as HCs. It's not a mystery that they both won a shite load of SBs and dominated league with top-level QBs.

He's top 4 for me.
1. Paul Brown
2. Vince Lombardi
3. Bill Belichick
4. Andy Reid
Might be blasphemy but I think what Reid's done over 25 seasons in the salary cap era is a lot more impressive than the coaches who dominated over a short period of time with big market teams in the pre-salary cap era (Walsh, Gibbs, Parcells, etc...).

Reid was never an OC. I mean never, not just in the NFL.

Isn't he basically a de facto OC though (if not in title)?
