This may have already been posted in the thread, but what is the origin behind the name?

Why is there no ZO1?

I kind of hope he somehow ends up on the Spurs now. He wouldn't wear #2 there.

I can't fault him for wanting to create his own brand but they are doing it in a pretty obtuse way.

They leaked that they've sold 5000 shoes

But if you order one right now the order number is 4600, which means that's the total number of orders from the entire store (they sell hats and t shirts and shite like that)

Was a pretty brilliant strategy. Even if he doesn't sell a lot of his shoes, he's put his website traffic through the roof in the last few months. If you track their history on Alexa, their traffic has been going wild. He's going to sell plenty of other merchandise by doing this. Companies do crazy stuff like this a lot for publicity. He's not as dumb as people think.

The best part will be next year when they put out a shoe for the next Ball kid after he declares for the draft averaging 2ppg in 10 minutes at UCLA.

I almost want to order a pair because if it's an epic bomb or the first in a shoe revolution it could be a collector's item
