Helwani is the worst person in mma media. I honestly find it hard to believe he has a job. He's a bitch. Literally cried and begged people to fight his battles for him in a spat with Dana White.
Back when Trump made his 'shithole' comment years ago, Helwani did his best to bait Francis into making comments about it so he could get some clicks and views. At the time Francis' English was pretty bad and he wasn't even paying attention to Trump and other stuff here in the US. Francis had no idea what Helwani was talking about, and nothing came of it. What makes it so disgusting to me is that Francis was really on the rise at that time and politics here is very divisive - if Francis had made a comment one way or the other, he would have pissed off half the people that heard it, no matter what. Helwani was 100% trying to take advantage of Francis and use him. This would hurt his appeal, marketing, branding etc. Thankfully he said nothing and people in general just started liking him and watching his fights. If Helwani had his way, he would have gotten a cheap soundbite while hurting Francis' career.
Helwani is a disgusting creature and should be purged from MMA media completely. It's astounding to me that he bolted for ESPN, got fired (everyone knew that would eventually happen) then mmafighting took him back. I mean...wtf? He left them in a bad spot and they take him back?
Another douche is Mark Raimondi. I remember one time I think Dana had to call out that fat little troll, and DC did as well.
