It needs some tweaking but it’s positive for the kids. They sacrifice to entertain us and create millions for the universities. It’s not your daddy’s college football anymore. It’s a year round full time job for these guys. They put more time in than most people in their daily jobs and are full time students.

I believe everyone is cool with the pay for play. It's the transfer freely crap that needs to be fixed.

Ohio State payed $1M for Ewers to transfer out after one year.

Which is why their grades shouldn't matter now, paid to play not pass school, degree should be a bonus

No one would have any allegiance or watch a step between HS and pro football.

I hate this, but I think you're right, and at least it's honest about what's going on.

Making classes optional for the top players wouldn’t really be that much of a change.

Minors for football just like basketball and baseball...separate this from college.

Or offer technical trades as well. A lot of these kids were not built or raised to be mathematicians, psychologists, historians or English scholars. Add a technical/trade option. You could do it as a consortium with a local trades school.

At least push them through money management classes or similar to give them some idea of how to keep from going broke after their playing days are over. Maybe some PR classes as well.

It's out of control, and that's not good for the kids.

You can make it available to them for their own benefit, but you can’t force them to make avail of the opportunity.

No objection to trade school option but I’ve argued that football factory schools are not really even providing a free education. Who wants to hire someone with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (fancy sounding name that has no core class requirement or area of emphasis)?

A few years ago, nearly everyone on LSU majored in that. I wouldn’t be surprised if some ambitious recruit signs at LSU with dreams of majoring in Engineering but gets ‘convinced’ Interdisciplinary Studies is a better decision.

They should be required to go to class and make decent grades in order to get paid. That’s why they’re supposed to be at the school anyway, not just to play football. Of course, we all know why most of them are in school. They’re majoring in football.

No one would care about this, it woudnt be college football, and it would collapse in on itself.

It's going to happen, and it will suck

It will not be the success people think it would be

No reason for the players to attend class either & they can play as long as they are not called up to the NFL - it's sad but greed is destroying CF

I'll watch the other 100 or teams still playing CF and opt out on the semi-pro garbage league
