My biggest complaint in this whole situation relates back to the housing discrimination thing. While both events were terrible, the housing stuff was far worse in my mind because it actually impacted the day to day lives of minorities. There's no reason Sterling should have been allowed to own a team after he was found guilty of housing discrimination.
Definitely.

Silver said it wasn't, but this is definitely a "lifetime achievement" award for Sterling.

Lifetime achievement award? Hardly.

Do you honestly think that sterlings past had any effect on the decision? This was solely public outrage driven, and the public outrage is generally only based on this one incident, not the others.

Is it true that she owns 50% of the team? If so, would the NBA force Sterling to give up his ownership portion and she would keep hers?

Or is this a vendetta to remove any and all members of the family?

Will you please stop acting like the entire country now believes minorities can't be racist? Its a small amount of assholes that somehow think they can't be racist if they are a minority and you look like a bitter fool trying to pretend its the prevailing thought in this country.

Emotionless logic my arse.

What she has done is WAY worse than what DS said but that doesn't seem to matter.

Yes, easily.

If the ban was for 1 or 2 or 5 years, you may have a point. But a lifetime ban, yea it's rather obviously a lifetime achievement award.

Why do you supposed she felt the need to use the word "black" there?

Give me all the non-racist reasons you would do that, you don't think the guy knows he's black?

I guess we're just playing dumb.

So the black guy doesn't know he's black?

Have you ever done that, said something to someone whether it's mean or nice, and used "White" or "black" or "asian" before it? If not, why haven't you?

The Lady posed as a State Housing Inspector to evict minorities from their properties.

Shes worse than DS but gets a pass and approval from Doc to go to the game.

Housing discrimination is the ultimate violation of constitutional rights IMO. Is a person spends his own money and takes the risk to buy real estate or build housing complexes, he should be able to discriminate on any criteria he chooses. If he chooses to discriminate against minorities and he loses money for having apartments sitting empty, he'll eventually learn his lesson. If he wants to discriminate against ex-cons, that's his business. If he wants to provide housing to salaried employees only or tenants with 650 FICA score and higher, that's his business.

Now...if he takes a government subsidy to build the housing, all bets are off. The government built them, the government should make the rules.

Sounds like you're having issues with understanding intent, even when it's very obvious.

What was the intent of black guys saying "you a crazy white boy" compared to the intent in her case? It's pretty much clear as day.

Racism should offend everyone.

Yes.

If someone being races towards black people or Asians or whoever doesn't offend me, then I shouldn't complain or be offended if someone says something about white people.
