So you are cool with going down 0-2 as long as it's Andre Iguodala winning MVP?
Am I cool with it? What does that even mean?

I was just pointing out it is useless in this argument. LeBron thoroughly outplayed Steph in the finals last year. Even you would admit that

That your point was stupid, which is par for the course.

lebron did play well. it was nice to see his team getting whipped and him not actually quit for once.

Then factor in defense, we can go ahead and wrap this one up with that post.
once again, steph has basically been statistically similar to LeBron in defense as he has become the best player in the world. Sure, LeBron has been better, but not nearly as much as you wasn't to believe

Curry has played 51 playoff games and LeBron had played 192. Obviously these aren't large sample sizes, but they're not too small to make some raw inferences on who is the better playoff performer.

It's definitely not like the Kershaw argument, which does have too limited of a sample size.

Except for that whole defense thing again.
except for that whole, his defense over the last two years would pretty much fall in line with what lebron averages out to

He was using the argument Curry was better last year in the Finals because his team won. I simply pointed out Curry wasnt even the MVP of the finals. I think the point was relevant.

Thought we were comparing peak seasons. Not Curry's peak to LeBrons average.

Yeh I think I'm done. There is zero comparison in their peak level defense. It isnt comparable

steph has had as DRtg of 101 and 103. LeBron has only broken 100 twice and neither of those were in his "prime". He has been worth 4.1 defensive win shares these last two years and that basically falls in line with LeBrons average. Maybe 1 or .75 defensive win share short

Statistically similar? Lebron had a defensive box score + - of 2.3 compared to Curry's 0.1 during the regular season. LeBron had a defensive real + - of 2.74 compared to Curry's 0.96.

Curry is a good defender, especially considering his position, but "statistically similar" is not an accurate assessment.

Brother, Steph Curry is amazing and nearly impossible to defend but I'm still taking peak LeBron James.

You think Drtg is a good way to judge an individual on defense? Honest question, this will go a looooong way in future conversations

You realize just playing good on ball D in iso isn't really going to show up in Drtg, right?

BTW, Lebron's career avg in win shares on defense is better than Curry's career best.

Jesus Christ. I already said LeBron played better D, just that steph is 100% plays above average defense and it's not like you are trying to compare crazy differences. His defense over the last two years basically comes in with what LeBron aversages out to

You need a system for Curry to shine. When he is in the right fit, wow!

James could plug into any system on any team and be amazing.

If you notice, he is now comparing Curry's best to LeBrons avg.

Good thing you picked LeBron, or his fanboys would've tore you a new a-hole.
