Why, UL Ragin Cajuns, of course. And we know this to be true, as one of the most sought-after G5 coaches is quite content to stay there, until he makes his next big move.

Why Napier is still a Ragin Cajun

UCF, USF, FAU, FIU.
IMO, any FL school could breakout like Miami did in the 80s based on how deep the talent in the state is alone.

My wildcard is Houston bc of similar reasons.

Georgia State. Great location for recruiting, nice on campus stadium, huge school that will have a massive alumni base in the near future, and realistic expectations. It is brimming with potential.

Old Dominion would be my other choice for a lot of the same reasons.

The University of Louisiana, especially with a renovated modern football stadium. But I’m biased.

Outside of that, I would probably pick UCF, they have built the best G5 atmosphere in the country.

and one triggered tigger fan. But I guess saying triggered tigger is kind of redundant.

Ended the year in the Top 20 and starting the 2021 season at #16. Louisiana puts the most skill position players per capita in the NFL. All the program is missing is a modern stadium that seats 32k.

I think the point of the thread is to think outside the box for a bit.

Funny, the title of the thread does not say that. It is a pretty straightforward question, and I gave a perfectly reasonable response to it. But I guess it is not reasonable if you are triggered tigger fan.

Boone is hard as hell to get to and the players are totally isolated. There isn't much to do on the mountain. Almost like living on an island..

It’s a reasonable drive from any NC city, Knoxville, Nashville, Atlanta, South Carolina and Virginia beach . If you look at their classes, it reflects that

It’s not a shithole like Lubbock or starkvegas, that part of the country rules.

Yeah, the Rock and Boone would be a nice spot to be.......the stadium with the addition and minus the track looks awesome.

I used to have drivers deliver to Boone daily. There are only a handful of roads in and out. It takes a long time to get up the mountain and you can't during certain times of the year. Mountain driving isn't the easiest thing either, especially if you aren't used to it. We had to pay extra to get people to go, so do all other carriers. That is why stuff is hard to come by and extra expensive there..

Call it a 6 hour drive from Atlanta, google says 5. That isn’t outrageous. It’s not Washington state

I was thinking UL but man i just wish they were in a bigger conference. If they were in AAC, they would be my choice

And when Hud made similar comments about getting to/from Boone he was roasted by the Appy folks....still is today. While at the time he was probably boffing half the cheerleaders' and coach's wives there, lol. But priorities, you know.

North Carolina - It’s the only program in the country, in my opinion, that can become what LSU became in the 2000s. Sleeping giant.

I'm not trying to dump on Boone. But it is very isolated. It is also very poor, the poverty rate is over 50%. It is extremely white (over 90%), which is very rare for the south. I just don't see how you appeal to talented kids in the fertile recruiting grounds of Georgia and the Carolinas..
