Money is no concern. If Saban and Meyer were both available, who would you call first?

Urban is the best living CFB coach until he decides to leave.

Depends...

Saban in the North or Urban in the South?

CFB talent has shifted.

Saban is not racking up titles in the North.

Pretty amazing Urban proved he could dominate the SEC and then win a Natty up North.

Who knows if Saban could win out West?

If you're an AD at USC and choosing between Saban and Meyer, you choose Meyer. Meyer won at Utah, Florida and Ohio State.

Saban couldn't win at Michigan State or the NFL. But he could win at LSU and Alabama. One is not like the other.

Meyer seems the more versatile.

What are their ages? That would play big in my decision.

Saban took a team that lost to ULM at home and 2 years later had them hoisting a National title

Saban took a team that lost to UAB and 1 year later won the SEC and the Sugar Bowl + 2 years after that won the National Title

Won countless recruiting titles, SEC titles, and National Titles

He also ran Urban Meyer head to head out of the SEC despite Urban having a 2-3 year program jump on him at Florida which was humming at the time

Urban also isnt a coach that seems capable of being tenured. He doesnt stick anywhere.

Is it? I’d say it’s actually easier to win a title at OSU than the South.

You can get the same elite talent at OSU and there’s only two schools in your conference who can recruit close to your level in Michigan and Penn State. Where in the SEC Bama has Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Florida who are capable of recruiting close to their level.

If I couldn’t have Deion Sanders I’d settle for Saban

Saban.

Meyer won’t stay anywhere longer than about 5 years and will develop “health problems” whenever things get tough.
