I think UGA, Mich, and TCU have secured their spots no matter what. Only OSU or Bama would benefit from USC losing. Honestly, I think Bama is more deserving than OSU.

So much wrong here.

Why? The only two teams that wouldn’t be in in a 12 team playoff before the championship round would be UNC, Purdue, and LSU. So basically 10, 11, and 12 would be out.

K State and Utah would be out if they lost.

If all those upsets happened Tennessee and Penn State would likely drop out of the 12.

LSU, K State, Purdue, Utah, Clemson/UNC, and Tulane/UCF get the 6 autobids.

UGA, UM, TCU, OSU are in easy at-large.

USC, Bama, UT, Penn State, Washington are all arguing over 2 spots. Really 1 because we all know Bama is in.

And somehow LSU by virtue of a UGA win ends up the #1 seed.

OSU has better wins and less losses, but tell me why Bama is more deserving

this, with an outside chance of Bama sneaking in over TCU, depending on what the final score is in that game

Would really be chaos once this moves to 12.

Actually, it gets much easier, since you have the room.

Yes, but you have a lot more motion than just OSU taking USC's spot. And some pretty tough arguments for the final spots, which will likely happen every year.

was there ever a 2 week gap between the end of the regular season and the conference championships, or has it always been the very next weekend?

Why? Who have they beaten. They lost to LSU, Tenn, would have lost to UT if the QB hadn't gotten hurt, and almost lost to A&M. Ole Miss is their best win.

Ohio state was stomped. could not cope.

bama lost on a 2 pt conversion in OT to the sec west champ and by a fg in a road game featuring over 40 pts by the loser.

if they played the buckeyes would be getting +2.5

Michigan is gonna drop like a rock if they lose to Purdue. That would be by far the worst loss by any teams playing this weekend.

How many times do we have to go over this? Why don't we just play the games then figure it out

This is my honest opinion, and not bait.

I truly believe every P5 conference champion should be in the playoff. Which is why I support expansion to 6 or 8, but think 12 waters it down too much. But with the current setup, it should have always been the top 4 conference champs.

If the above happens, Utah/LSU/KState should be in with UNC and Purdue fighting for the 4th spot.

My position always has been and always will be “win your conference or GTFO”. If anyone has way too much time on their hands, they could go back and find me saying that even 2019 LSU should be out with a SECCG loss.

UGA and Mich are in no matter what.

Ohio State replaces USC.

Everyone keeps saying TCU is in no matter what, I'm still not fully convinced. The committee would absolutely love to penalize TCU, whom everyone believes is a fluke anyways, for the traditional powerhouse that is Bama.

Don't know about deserving...but I would bet Bama would beat OSU if they could play one another

F' Bama though
