Second ten... dude.....

My whole top twenty are still the greats in NFL history.. There is no shame being from say 10-13...... AGAIN you being so young you can't appreciate the past... All you can look at is some highlights and read football books... Sorry it just doesn't do it justice....

Duh. However, there is the dubious manner in which the Pats won their first one, but the NFL destroyed the evidence, so we'll never know what they videotaped.

Go ahead and take away the first one. There's still 4 more on his resume

Jizzy...your points are exactly correct. Put Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, or Peyton Manning on the 2002-2015 Patriots Teams and each QB would have multiple SB rings. If Brady played for the Bills or Lions the past 15 years, he wouldn't have shite.

And one of those he missed the entire season with a knee injury. So, he's played in 50% of the Super Bowls played during his time starting for the Pats. 8 Super Bowls in 16 years. That's insane.

Not really the point I was going for.

The OP is basically stating that Brady would help his case more by throwing 4 INTs and winning 13-10 than he would if he threw for 400 yards and 4 TDs and lost 41-38.

It's illogical.

The real question is this. Is Tom Brady as successful outside of the pats?

WTF?? If you haven't been watching for the past two decades, you may not want to comment. The "system quarterback" is the easiest of all arguments to dismiss. Pat's ran a COMPLETELY different system when #12 wasn't behind center. The Garoppolo & Brissett offenses looked nothing like the Brady offense. In 2007 Pat's w/Brady had 50 passing TD's, in 2008 w/Cassel the Pat's had only 21 TD's from passing. WHAT "SYSTEM" WILL ACCOUNT FOR over twice as many passing TD's per year w/only ONE PLAYER CHANGE??? Don't forget this is Brady's EIGHTH Super Bowl. He's gotten there and won with several completely different teams that played very different football...and won Super Bowls in very different fashions with different offenses and defenses.

In fairness, the Pats do absolutely win at a better rate when Brady is out compared to guys like Brees/Rodgers and I'd guess Payton Manning as well.

I certainly don't believe the system QB thing when guys take it too far, but Brady has obviously benefitted from playing in NE. I think Brady is better than Brees but if they magically switched roles the last 15 years, I have very little to no doubt that Brees would have more SB rings and generally accepted as the better QB than Brady.

Y'all are so biased it's crazy.

Matt cassel, while it's easy to shite on him now had a 3 years stretch where he was a descent qb. Made a pro bowl in KC IIRC

Jimmy G took an awful 49ers team and led them to an undefeated end stretch

Jacoby brisset took an awful colts team and did decent on them.

Brady's 3rd string qb this year was a starting quarterback on an NFL team. Maybe it has less to do with the players being system qbs and more to do with the pats being really fricking good at scouting qbs

Biased is judging a player based on wins and losses, when said player isnt even involved in the game for half of the time, and when they are involved, still has 10 other teammates......

Can you point me to this 3 year stretch? He's had 2 seasons in his career that were not below average.

Or that Brady is great AND has the GOAT coach and virtually always a top 10 defense. Maybe it's that and not the mythical "he just knows how to win" nonsense.

Why does the entire world choose to ignore the hilariously easy road to the playoffs the Patriots have year in and year out?

I mean, srsly. The AFC East?

They beat the fricking Titans and Jags to make the SB this year.

No one can deny the performances Brady has had IN the Super Bowls he's played in. But the road to get there? It's been much easier than the rest of the NFL has dealt with on average.
