The defense started clicking near the end. They snuck by some close games early-mid season, but then they just started steam rolling people after the Bama game

I mean they have the best resume of all time. They beat 7 top 10 teams and 4 top 5 teams including 3 top 5s in a row and a team that had won 29 straight. Thats never been done before and of the starters all but 1 or 2 were NFL guys including 2 of the top 5 WRs in the NFL and a QB universally ranked easily within the top 7 in the NFL who all set records. Who else do you think matches them?

9 starters injured on D throughout the season. You also had Orgeron meddling with the D even changing the alignment in some cases which was a disaster but after Ole Miss he admitted to it and said he’d be hands off from there out. Post thanksgiving when they started to heal up they were as good as anyone on D.

This OKC team is really good. The only team I picked over them was Boston in the finals. But as it looks now, Boston may not even make the ECF.

I admit i didnt watch a ton of okc during the season but results and margins of beatdowns speak for themselves

they are a great team whose accomplishments should stand on their own. no need to compare to anybody.

IF they can win the whole thing, then yes they'll be in the conversation. They already set a bunch of records for things like double digit wins and point differential, and they're up there with the mid-90s Bulls in NET rating.

Long way to go though. If they don't win a championship they'll be easily forgotten and ridiculed.

They aren’t even the best team in OKC history. The one with KD Russ Harden Ibaka etc would beat this team

I'm not convinced they get past Denver.
