Well Wisconsin and Ohio St can't both win out so I don't see how that's relevant to this thread.

Iowa put up 55 POINTS on them. Iowa got 66 TOTAL YARDS against Wisconsin.

So fricking what.

so fricking what? It proves OSU is not a very good team and don't belong in the playoffs. Like what?

what blows my mind even more is that people 2 weeks ago said that Wisconsin(if undefeated) shouldn't make the playoffs. Now you are trying to tell me that if OSU wins that exact same conference(with 2 losses) they will be in. Someone guide me through those mental gymnastics
Notre Dame lost.

So tOSU is going to make the playoffs despite having two blowout losses including one of them at home.

They lost by 15 and 31 points. That is absurd and should immediately disqualify them from any shot at the playoffs.

Or Miami loses one game to Clemson and they both go. Why take OSU over Miami?

Let me start by saying I do not think OSU is deserving of getting into the playoff. The answer to your question lies in the fact that with 14 teams in the B1G now and only 9 conference games you miss 4 other teams each year and this year Wisconsin is missing Ohio State, Michigan State and Penn st the 3 best teams from the east side of the division. Granted they will probably play and have to beat OSU in the championship game and if they go undefeated and do that they are in.

I think this will depend on 3 things:

1. How Miami looks against Clemson
2. How OSU looks against Wisconsin, and to a lesser extent Michigan.
3. Whether Notre Dame beats Stanford.

If Miami gets blown out by Clemson, OSU blows out Wisconsin, and ND loses to Stanford, then I think we have a good shot.

Iowa was a blowout, but Oklahoma was a 4 point game in the 4th quarter.

Add a 1-loss non-SEC champion Alabama to your scenario and you've got pure chaos with them and 2-loss conference champion Ohio St battling for #4.

I hope no buckeye fan melts if the team doesn’t get in. They lost more than once. But as a fan of course I hope it happens, but won’t melt if it doesn’t

I honestly think OSU has a great chance to make it. If AU runs the table, that knocks UGA out. Puts Bama with1 L and a very weak resume. OSU will best Wisc. Clemson and OU lose, that is an opportunity to be 5th. Chaos engaged.

yes and for the second straight year we can watch an undeserving and mediocre OSU team get thrashed in the playoffs. THEY LOST TO IOWA BY 31 POINTS

The only issue for OSU is ND. They were beat by two top 7 teams. They have a legit chance too.

ND is eliminated due to lack of a conference championship.

Unless all hell breaks loose.

ND has zero shot unless a ton of teams lose that are ahead of them.... As much as I would hate this OSU will win out and is in a good position........

I'm trying to envision Alabama losing 2 games and still thinking they should be in the playoff

It's not working.

Bama beats AU and they are in even with a loss to UGA..... A loss to UGA and AU and they are out.
