Bama beats AU and they are in even with a loss to UGA..... A loss to UGA and AU and they are out.

There's a slight issue with that...

You know it's impossible for Alabama to lose to Auburn and then lose to Georgia in the SECCG, right?

If Bama losses to AU they should not be in even over a two loss conference champion.

Last year one loss Ohio St got in over a two loss champion that beat them. I don't see why one loss Alabama couldn't get in over a two loss champ this year.

Because they are not a conference champion.... it's pretty simple.... I like the conference champion angle....

Big ten
Big 12
ACC
SEC

It would be like last year though. There's precedent for it.

If Ole Miss doesn't luck out and beat Kentucky, you really think if they beat Georgia they should have a chance at the playoffs?

I agree. But it would be really funny to find some posters stance on Ohio State last year vs Ohio State this year. I guarantee there are a good portion of people who were arguing the conference championship piece last year that will say Ohio State doesn’t deserve to go even if they win out and crush everyone the next 3 weeks.

I started this thread because oddsmakers see Ohio State getting in as a real possibility. The scenario is if Alabama and Ohio St both win out. The only problem I would see for Ohio State getting in is if Miami lost to Clemson. The committee would be looking at 1 Loss Miami or 2 loss conference champion Ohio State.

ODDS to Make Playoffs (via 5dimes)
Alabama -510
Oklahoma -350
Clemson -310
Miami Fl +110
Wisconsin +155
Auburn +210
Georgia +320
Ohio St +325
USC 11/1
TCU 15/1
Okie St 25/1
Washington 30/1
Michigan 33.5/1
Notre Dame 35/1
Penn St 40/1
C. Florida 50/1

Of tOSU wins out and Alabama wins the SEC and Clemson beats an undefeated MiamiU innthe ACCCG then it will be:

Alabama

I'm hoping OK loses again, AUB wins out and Clemson beats Miami by a small margin. Could have two SEC teams and two ACC teams in.

Aub SEC champ
Bama 1 loss
Miami 1 loss
Clem ACC champ

All of them would deserve to be in over OSU. And if OK wins out, that's 5 teams before Osu

2 Loss Clemson without a conference title will not get in before OSU. I think it’s interesting that SEC could get 2 teams in the playoff. We all just kind of assumed it would be Georgia and Alabama. Funny thing is people are all assuming Auburn would beat Georgia on a neutral field in SEC Title Game. I think Easton needs to play ASAP
