yeah, my bad for not realizing Brady calls defensive plays. He intercepted that ball for Malcolm Butler vs the Seahawks and forced the Falcons to call a pass play and take a sack on the 22 yard line last night

A. He hasn't played in 8 Super Bowls.
B. He's also a couple plays away from being 7-0 in Super Bowls.
Keep the hot takes coming, simple jack.

yeah i guess if he got more bounces than he's already gotten he could be 7-0 in super bowls, just like i could flip a coin heads 5 times in a row... but the odds are if you play that many close games you arent gonna win them all.
when i'm judging quarterbacks that have played 200+ games, i dont only count 7 of them. thats why i think manning and brees are both better QBs
i know this will be a surprise to you, but i dont think Derek Fisher is the best PG of all time either despite him having 5 rings

also, if you wanna go on this year alone, Brees scored more points in regulation than brady managed both times he played the falcons this year
so arguing that Brady is on a different level has no statistical basis besides brady having a better defense

the '08 Patriots were virtually the same team that had gone 16-0 the year before. Without Brady they finished 11-5 and missed the playoffs. Had it been Brady QBing that year and not Cassel, that team finishes 14-2 at the worst.
Compared to the year the Colts played without Manning:
The Colts offense had weakened rapidly in 2011. They were 30th in the league in yards gained (compared to 4th in 2010), 27th in passing yards (compared to 1st in 2010), 29th in receiving yards (compared to 2nd in 2010), 28th in scoring (compared to 4th in 2010), and 28th in total touchdowns (compared to 2nd in 2010).
2010 - 10-6 (with Manning)
2011 - 2-14 (without Manning)

nah, didnt realize it was part of the gameplan for brady to score more points for the falcons than the patriots in the first half

The Patriots don't win without Brady's heroics tonight.
the pats also don't go down 21-3 is brady doesn't suck a bunch of dicks in the first half (including a pick 6)
but the biggest change was the Pats' D. it sucked in the first half and ratcheted up in the 2nd

Brees' QBR against the Falcons: 50.2 and 46.9
Brady's QBR against the Falcons: 79.6
Brady's QBR against the Falcons: 79.6

I realize Peyton Manning is from Louisiana ... So I know why a lot of you guys have a vested interest in downplaying Brady's accomplishments.
As a New Orleanian and a lifelong LSU fan, I just consider the Mannings to be Drew Mississippi carpetbaggers.
I have no vested interested in exaggerating the accomplishments of any Manning.

Manning is Joe Addai & Von Miller away from being Jim Kelly in Superbowls by your logic

The Patriots don't win without Brady's heroics tonight.
They also don't win without the "heroics" of the defense either in the 2nd half, but we largely ignore that.

After missing the playoffs in 2008, the Patriots' offseason was marked by a number of front office, coaching, and personnel changes. Vice President of Player Personnel Scott Pioli, who had been head coach Bill Belichick's personnel director since 2000, departed to become the general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs, while offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was named head coach of the Denver Broncos. Quarterback Matt Cassel, who led the team to 11 wins in 2008 after starter Tom Brady was injured, was traded to the Chiefs along with veteran linebacker Mike Vrabel in March. Defensive starters Tedy Bruschi and Rodney Harrison both retired, while All-Pro defensive end Richard Seymour was traded to the Oakland Raiders for a first round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft days before the start of the regular season.
