Tradition in cfb is pretty much dead now

times have definitely changed in CFB, and I'm not sure if its for the better

The times of our generations have passed and things have definitely changed. We become nostalgic when we look back at how things were in the heights our fandom, our childhood, our college careers and early twenties. My collegiate fandom heyday was the Reggie Bush era and to me it didn't get any better than that USC vs. Texas national championship game.

In all likelihood, the generation before mine probably hated the state of the game then.

College football isn't dead. It is still going to make a crap tone of money for the schools, coaches, conferences, and now, the players. College football has changed and it just isn't what it once was for you... and that's ok.

Syracuse used to have a native american mascot too but dropped it around the same time as Stanford. They were still just the Orangemen though

Why is the Stanford Cardinal an Indian?

Stanford mascot was Indians until 1975. UCLA wanted to be the Grizzles, but the Pacific conference had a rule that no two teams could have the same nickname. Montana was in the conference for 25 years.

I had a t shirt with that photo keeping the Nebraska logo normal size and shrinking the others.

Captioned “Big Red and the 7 Dwarves”.
