ome on man it ain’t that bad. A few missed layups here and there but it’s exciting enough to look past that.

This is an honest question, but what is exciting about it? Genuinely curious. Breakaway layups, offensive rebounding? Caitlin Clark is the most exciting player apparently and her 3 point shooting has lit the league up but she shoots a whopping 34% from deep, which would have been good for the 138th best 3pt% in the NBA last year. Outside of the assists, her skill that everyone raves about, isn't even that impressive.

People here claim the WNBA are botching this Clark thing with the controversy etc etc

It’s quite the opposite. The only reason either side has bought in is the controversy. If there was zero controversy with Clark and it was all sunshine and rainbows this board nor anyone would have cared to watch. The product itself can’t sell

This. No way does her 3pt % ever get better.

It actually got worse every year in college, so maybe that helps your argument. And it speaks to the NBA as a whole, the 20th highest 3pt% in the WNBA wouldn't crack the top 120 in the NBA. CC three point shot is overrated and the talent of the league in general is overrated.

Good thing Caitlin doesn't have to rely on 3.

Never said she did, but she certainly isn't a female Steph Curry like everyone makes her out to be.

I doubt that. Its probably not rated.

CC was watchable because occasionally she'd wow with NBA style passes (a more interesting thing to watch than watch Reese miss 3 layup put backs in a row) and hit NBA bomb 3s....of course her 3-point % isn't going to be great from having to create her own shot (unlike Steph, because her coach and teammates suck) and she's jacking them contested from logo.

She's why people cared to watch because the talent otherwise iin the WNBA is same old' big tall uncoordinated Amazonian butch that dominates like the South Carolina Clydesdales. If CC was allowed to play unfettered like Pistol Pete instead of turning every game against her into a backyard brawl, more people would watch. That's what we've been arguing all along but the woke WNBA wants to keep the same status quo, protecting the unwatchable.

I was watching more than just Fever games. The Clark effect. I was getting addicted to the WNBA that’s why I feel I need to take a step back and the Fever being knocked out the playoffs is the perfect opportunity.
