Start playing non-playoff bowl games as the season opener of the following season. They would technically serve as a neutral site season opener i.e. the Chik Fil A kickoff or the Advocare Texas kickoff game, etc. So for example, this post season would see only the playoff bowl games and the start of next season would be the rest of the bowl match-ups, meaning that our first game to start the 2019 season would be the Fiesta Bowl against UCF. In that set up, the bowl game not only has the importance of a regular season opener, but it also plays a part in your team possibly making the playoffs at the end of that same season or, what bowl game you open with the following season. It works. Problem solved. Agree or fight me.

Not getting injured and losing draft status could be measured as success.

The seniors get to play in the bowl game at the start of their senior season, which was earned when they were juniors.

I’m not so much interested in the fact that you think it’s stupid so much as WHY you think it’s stupid. That’s a solid open, please continue.

Well, to start, the teams would have completely different players.

And you would have last year's games directly influencing this season. This is incredibly retarded on so many levels

So the cash made in Dec/Jan is worth more than the same cash made in August/September?

Are you advocating a 13 game regular season or are we just going to eliminate a game. Again, give this up, it's about the worst idea I've ever heard.

That’s true of any season opener, in any given season. What’s the difference?

You're setting the match-up the year before, it's pretty simple
