Cael Williams is the real deal. They will be fine. This might be their most talented team since 2000

So like everyone else except they can score with them.

Also using Alabama as a measuring stick isn’t. The best team in the country when they feel like it.

SEC defenses?

What is this 2010?

Have you watched the games?

LSU won today 49-42.

Alabama lost to TAMU 41-38.

Fairly ok

They’ll shred most teams.

They’ll lose to the really good SEC teams.

And they’ll slip up sometimes to a Kentucky level team.

9-3 most years seems right.

Are you trying to embarrass yourself even further or what?

Are SEC defense dead and gone? What about the next 10 years?

I mean hopefully. It was a stupid thing to say ever "oh SEC speed" "SEC defenses" "SEC Running Back". It should just be "this team plays good defense".

And the last few teams who won national titles haven't been riding their defenses to those titles.

2018 Clemson football averaged 44.2 points per game. 2019 LSU averaged 48.4 while in 2020 Alabama averaged 48.5

Offense matters more

You mean like the Florida defense that gave up 49 today or the LSU defense that gave up 42? You mean like those SEC defenses?

SEC Defenses aren't very good this season.

Lol "SEC Defenses"

The game is different today than it was 10 years ago.

"SEC Defense" is a myth that needs to die. Georgia has a great defense, Kentucky and Bama have good defenses, the rest are terrible.

I suspect OU will light it up no differently than they have been doing for the last 20 years.

If they run counters with Kennedy Brooks they would drop 80 on UF. Fire Grantham into the Sun.

OU doesn’t have the team depth to weather an SEC schedule. Lighting up a Florida team that didn’t care in a bowl game is different than week in week our battles in conference play.

I don't find SEC defenses to be anymore unique than other conferences. As an example LSU and Florida scored over 40 points against each other just this weekend and those 2 teams typically occupy the top defenses in the land.

I would argue A&M has a good defense this year.

Mullen is that you?

What the frick has Florida done recently to think they're too good for the Sugar Bowl? That excuse only flies for a team like Bama, which is used to being in the playoffs.

The days of Bama 7, LSU 3 are over. Defenses in college ball are largely dead when top P5 teams play each other. It’s more about TOS than stopping offenses. Georgia, so far, has the only real D of top 25 teams from what I’ve seen and it’s more stark comparing SEC Ds. UGA has given up 69 fewer points than the next team (Aggie). And will shutout Missouri’s garbage team, GT, CHSO, and maybe Tenner.

The rest are average to mediocre to dogshit. Looking at you Missouri, Vandy, LSU, Moo Stats, and Arky.
