I get irrationally annoyed when people mess this up

It's completely rational to get annoyed over that. It's also completely rational to ignore the football opinions of people who mess it up.

LSU (obviously), Louisiana Tech & that school in Lafayette are the only 3 public schools that even deserve to have a shot at being FBS programs

Not sure about LaTech but ULL is hemorrhaging money in the athletic department. If you can’t afford to keep up, move down.

But they need to make a change. They've been an FBS program for 33 seasons and have posted 1 winning season. They have little to no resources. Its not working.

It is honestly sad how far this program has regressed. It actually used to be a very good school for sports but it is an afterthought now. My question is really out of curiosity but if they dropped down would they still get the money games? You have to think that if football isn't getting anything for a budget then the other sports are probably really taking it on the chin. I have to think that the money games are the only true revenue stream the school has for even keeping the athletic department afloat?

Do wins and losses really correlate to financial performance or need to drop a level? Seems like overall financial position of the university (or university system or state) are bigger drivers?

Don’t forget future potential of the programs…

Why would they drop down to make LESS MONEY. No university is going to willingly drop down and instantly cut their athletic budget by 75% overnight just to win a few more games.
