I used to post this back when everyone thought he was a superstar at LSU. I never liked the way he played LB until his last season at LSU. Before that I would not have put him close to our top five since 2000. Now, in his last year he started to get to the ball. Before that he was indecisive, and the linemen would be on him before he committed. What made him such a good college LB was that when he touched a ball carrier he was down!
For me Kwon, Debo and Minter were the best. I liked Beckwith too.

Good I will take him in Pittsburgh next year. He is a prototypical Steeler LB
Holy cliche Batman! What does this even mean?
What’s a prototypical steeler LB look like when compared to the LBs in the rest of the league?

Lack of aptitude will become evident soon enough in the NFL.

Either getting ready to trade him or trying to hurt his stock

Joey Porter, Kevin Greene, Greg Lloyd, James Harrison are probably who he has in mind.

Bring this man back home to Louisiana, Mr Loomis.

White is a tremendous athlete but went from playing mostly RB to LB. He relied on his speed and strength to make plays but can't diagnose plays well or scrape/force leverage.
This is, and was, the truth. I posted this back when White was at LSU. He always looked better than he was. I did not like his LB play until his last year at LSU. He never was a natural LB.
I'd take Queen, Debo and Kwon over White any time - and so would the NFL.

In December, during the week of Green Bay prep, he practiced fully on Thursday and Friday. When he found out Britt would be the starter, he told Bowles he couldn’t go because of his foot. They made him inactive. He was not in the locker room with the team.
After the game when questioned, Bowles was coy and basically said ask Devin. I think this is a FAFO situation with his contract.

are you saying he wasn't a superstar at LSU?

Since 2020, Kwon and Debo have played for 7 NFL team's combined. For good reason lmao

Why are people downvoting this? It’s literally the reason he got benched. He ran himself out of a scheme and the backup was in next play for the rest of the game.
I love DW for his time at LSU, but take off the P&G glasses folks.

This. Most of what I’ve seen is saying he plays too much hero ball, and simply refuses to play within the scheme.
