All I know is that he was awesome his rookie season, he was even more awesome the next year being named 2nd-team All Pro (and was incredible in the Super Bowl with the game sealing interception), and then he made the Pro Bowl the year after that. Then Bowles took over.

White was probably the MVP of their Super Bowl run with the gigantic plays he made in the playoffs. Something seems a little off here considering he is only in his 5th year.

They let the other guy play the 1st snap last game the Devin white played all the other snaps IDK. It has to be a disciplinary issue

Didn’t he want a long term deal and Tampa didn’t offer? He has been salty since then.

Crazy to think if they didn’t want to pay him they would sideline him and take some value away, instead of showcasing him and the trading for maximum value.

there were some questions about his character out of high school. He was in trouble quite a bit. He grew up and made himself a good life. Apparently this guy is salty

Speaking of former lsu linebackers I always thought that Kendell Beckwith would have been a perennial pro bowler in the NFL. Sometimes I think players have a great college career and not NFL.

The opposite is true as well. Look at Perry Riley. He had a great nfl career and wasn’t an all sec caliber player.

Did it have to do with the charges that were dropped by a female?

I remember seeing some film breakdowns of him in college that helped understand what PFF is looking at. He used to do everything wrong and still make plays because he was such a superior athlete to everyone else. PFF hated him each week but he still dominated. Now, it’s not so easy in the NFL. You’ve got to play smart and fast.

I got shite on when I said that Jacob Phillips was the better linebacker of the two.

White is a tremendous athlete but went from playing mostly RB to LB. He relied on his speed and strength to make plays but can't diagnose plays well or scrape/force leverage.

Phillips was the opposite. Above average athlete with good size and strength, below average speed, but could play LB with the best of them.

I think he was on his way to a very successful career when he got hurt. What might have been.

I think it might have something to do with some harsh comments he said about a coach or the organization a few weeks ago. He needs to be quiet and just play football because Britt is an absolute stud and could easily replace him. I absolutely love White and hate that he's not starting, but in the NFL they will replace you in a blink of an eye. He needs to get back to just playing football, keep his mouth shut and focus on being one of the best LBs in the league. He needs to remember that NFL stands for Not For Long!
