seriously?

He's being paid almost as much as chris paul, 70% of the league mvp, and ten times what clint capela is

His agent must be the GOAT. The guy can shoot 3's...end of list. he's been a liability every time i watch the rockets

Geez, this has been mentioned like 1000 times.

The NBA salary cap went up drastically the summer Anderson was signed. In the context of that summer his deal wasn't bad.

The teams thought the cap would go up another $10 million or so after that summer even but instead it went backwards.

Several teams have some really bad contracts because of that summer

Looking at his contract in context doesn't make it as bad.

Ryno is still a really really good player. He is working his way back from injury so a little rusty and his shots have been down on the season because, , well because he is playing with James harden and Chris Paul who want their shots and are more efficient. Also CC don’t want him utilising his mid range game which is still lethal. However the spacing he provides was key in CC having the best offense in league history(prior to clinching the home court throughout).

Actually, it was. It didn't stick out as one of the worst deals in league history, but it was definitely seen as a major overpay.

that is hilarious.
Now do it if he was still playing for the Pelicans. I'll help.

Anderson just isn't a good player. He's always got something ailing him. He's streaky as can be and takes terrible mid range fade away jumpers far too often. Is an average rebounder at best and is terrible on defense. Once you run him off the 3 point line, he becomes worthless on offense. He plays with a loser and will never win anything. Anthony Davis sucks and that's why Ryan Anderson sucks too. If he came to Houston and played with a real Western Semifinal champion, he'd be an all-star caliber player. The metrics all point towards all-star caliber Houston player. He's just not reaching his potential playing with AD.

I'm not bashing him. I like Ryno. I am realistic about his playing capabilities, and i'm glad we didn't pay him that, but i wish him nothing but the best. EG can go to hell.

YOu do realize it's ok to have criticism of someone on your teams game? Doesn't mean you hate the guy.
Mirotic, much like Anderson, far too often settles for fade away mid way jumpers when posting up smaller players. Irritates the crap out of me everytime they do it. Both are more than capable of passing it back out and getting better post position and getting to the rim a lot easier.

Seems like an educated fan such as yourself would be honest about his team's guys, whether that is good or bad

I will comment on the good stuff. Keep the negative things to myself. Keep that In house. I am not a bash-my-guy online kinda person.

Interesting stuff on that payroll site. Philly is getting a bargain on those young players, i.e. Simmons. Redick is the highest Philly player at 23 mil.
