Has to be a lot. I'd rather read jamalmurray and jerrytheking posts all day than watch that bullshite

Probably less than what FSU is going to lose once Clemson and Miami and UNC leave them behind in the ACC

And as evidenced by this board they probably got more eyeballs on Caitlyn Clark and Angel Reese stories than anything MLB related other than maybe Ohtani's interpreter.

We all know that Ohtani and no one else in his camp had zero knowledge about his interpreter gambling millions

Ironically as this is an LSU board WCBB does much better on t.v. than college baseball, but yeah, still loses $$$.

With as much hype as WCBB gets, you would think the product is a lot better than it actually is when you're watching. The WNBA gets this hype too, but WCBB is on right now, so I'll focus on that.
I'm still not expecting much, but it takes up a lot of air time on the ESPN family of networks and so I do expect more from the players because of that. But I was watching a major P4 women's team the other night who isn't good but is still a big name and their massive center struggled to score when basically right next to the goal and it felt like a good (not great) high school team beats them, if not destroys them.
I was watching a different P4 game today and it felt like anything but a layup is almost an automatic miss.
I don't see the longevity in women's basketball once the Clark hype dies down a bit (which will gradually happen over time, especially if she doesn't win a championship). At the end of the day, you watch the product, and it still sucks, regardless of how much hype it gets on ESPN.

Believe ESPN is forced into it. NBA makes WNBA part of the deal too.

The only women’s basketball I ever see if the propaganda from espn.

I can’t believe that threads like this are allowed when I get reprimanded and even suspended by the admins for “women’s sports bashing”.
I’d agree with the OP, but that would be me bashing women’s sports…

I think you have it wrong.
How did advertisers like Ally Bank lose bankrolling ESPN’s promotion of WNBA, etc.
I might be wrong but I think ESPN is just following advertiser demand.
Advertisers got dumber during 2020 like a lot of others got dumber in 2020
