You don't think people can hit 20?

When there is somebody rebounding for you, and you keep shooting the same shot over and over and over again, you can end up popping off 10 in a row like nothing when you get in a rhythm.

seriously, yall are acting like it's so incredibly tough to hit a decent amount of shots.

This. I'm confident I could hit 40+. That doesn't mean I would, but I think I definitely could.

shite, I'm confident that most estimates in this thread are fairly low, provided people actually play basketball (or have before). For anybody that has a relatively decent shot, making 40% uncontested threes isn't some huge feat IMO.

I would definitely put some money on myself for 20.

I've shot around in an empty PMAC. The depth perception can really mess with you if you aren't accustomed to it. Tack on the extra distance and really tight rims, I think I could hit around 20 or so.

I'm thinking around 35 or 40 on a good day. NBA three is much more difficult.

Easily 60+ I regulary shoot 100 a day from 24ft (top of key or wing rebounding my own ball) and always go north of 60% and my best to date is 89/100. Flame on.

I would honestly say no more than 20. I never really played ball and just shot it around in college.

No more than 20, more realistically 7-12

This is true. That's the one thing that really affected my shot more than anything.

When you go from playing in a place where there is a closer backdrop, and then play in a big arena, it really affects your shot.

It seems like it would be 10-fold for the guys playing in the Final Four in a football stadium.

You think you have to put more behind the ball than you actually do.

Are NBA rims considered tight?

I always assumed the opposite considering how many points are scored and how many old english bounces I see go in.

College rims have more "give" in them than NBA rims.

NBA rims are tighter.

If you notice, the rims sound different during college games. They almost have a rattle sound to them. That's because they are not as tight.

That's still a deep shot. Totally different shot from a college or rec three. I guarantee the realistic %'s are lower than what y'all think.
