Carrying is allowed now after watching James and Irving who seem to be the masters of taking an extra step. But it happens in almost every nba game I think they threw that rule out

Interesting that you isolate the Cavs players.

I said it the other day but I think moving screens rarely getting called is a big issue in today's pace and space NBA.

Draymond is probably the most obvious but it seems to be a trend league wide imo

All those guys you listed are HoF players. They should be able to play whenever.

Mutombo fwiw is basically, at this point, a better version of Gobert.

It's pretty bad. I saw a few moving screens in Game 5 where they would seal the guy off then roll to the basket with nobody to defend it.

It worked, but also it took time for players to get good at the three. Remember, the first group never grew up with the three, so they never practiced it growing up

The 3 didn't take off until zone was allowed. After the 3 was installed, you could still take your guy 1 on 1 to the rim for the next 20+ years. The 3 ball seems to have been exponentially growing since (I'm just guessing from limited research. The numbers would be interesting to see from 2016, 2006, 1996, and 1986, just to see the volume of threes attempted and the % of makes)

3PA/3P %

2016: 27.0/358
2006: 16.9/358
1996: 16.8/360
1986: 4.7/301

Three point percentage has been pretty constant for a little over 20 years. Three point attempts were constant for 15 years, and have exploded recently.
