This is about as bland an opening weekend as I can remember in college football.

Ohio State/Notre Dame and Georgia Oregon. That’s about it. FSU and LSU being sucky the past few years has a bit to do with it but this is a lame opening weekend.

I know neutral site games are not as preferable as home and homes from a fan perspective and I support going away from those for that reason. But the benefit was they did jam pack a lot of great matchups on the opening week.

ETA: I’m only seeing the chic fil a kickoff as an annual neutral site game being played. Did the cowboys classic and whatever Houston hosted each year shut down for COVID and just not come back?

I mean last year they only had Georgia/Clemson and Penn State/Wisconsin. How big time games are you expecting to have week 1?

Texas-Alabama, dude.

Nothing like the whole nation watching the Longhorns get beat by 30.

Wish ABC would have put Arky/Cincy @ noon but I guess Michigan blowing somebody out gets better ratings.

Maybe this is why they refer to it as week zero

I guess my standards aren’t super low. Good lord what a steaming pile of crap if that’s a premier weekend.

This weekend is still the current weekend we're in.

You're talking about next weekend.

Or you just go off the uniforms and not the game on the field

Backyard brawl

Last years best G5 team vs sec opponent

Pac 12 champ vs SEC opponent

Oregon vs Georgia

And then a night cap of SAD craziness on the west coast between boise and oregon state. I’d say that’s a pretty good opening weekend
