How ironic is it that Yankees fans are the most upset about Astros

Gaining an advantage to win a world series by stealing signs. Coming from a team that literally spends more money than any other team buying up all the best players so that they can have an advantage. Not to mention every title they have won in my lifetime they had at least a few guys cheating (roids) in their lineup. I can understand other teams being upset honestly but the yankees being the most vocal is laughable.

Legal, fair, and honest.

Yankees players cheated in a way that all other teams' players cheated. The Astros organization cheated in a way that not all other teams cheat. For those reasons, the latter will always be remembered as a worse offense than the former.

The most pissed off person may be Joe Girardi. He could have won 1-2 more titles and would still be coaching the Yankees!

It’s ironic that they are getting busted for a cheating technique that Beltran learned with the Yanks and brought to Houston.

That’s the only irony.

They "literally" haven't been top of payroll in 7 years.

This is about as relevant as arguing against practicing hard to gain an advantage. It's not cheating and every franchise is able to load up on payrolls. It's also risky and bloated payrolls do not always translate to World Series wins.

This isn’t against the rules.

Literally every team had players doing this at the same time.

I’d argue a team directly affected by the sign stealing in the postseason has a pretty big bone to chew in the matter.

I don't get why MLB hasn't adopted the NFL model
Competitive equity would make baseball so much better
All MLB is now is you have a couple of big spenders that use the lower payroll teams to develop players they poach during free agency or when they have fire sells once that team is 20 games out.
Hard salary cap.
At least every team is playing by the same rules.

Now if Beltran brought that info over to the Yankees and they used it they would be just as guilty, not in 2017 perhaps but overall.

That's an If as of now

Sorry that your team has become one of the most despised in the MLB.

Definitely. They cheated. They got caught. And the angst from all corners when they are back in the WS will be awesome! Both nationally, and on this board.

Embrace the heel turn! It will make for a very entertaining season.

I agree. Much better than being 1 of the ~15 small budget teams that can't fill half their stadium also.

We are top 3 in odds to win the world series

Wont happen. Certain zones will get very wide and shrink in crucial times. Or replay wont overturn the obvious call when needed.

Huh? Astros have had a top 10 payroll over the last few seasons.... I'm not sure you know much about your team here

Difficult to debate a conspiracy theory, but ok. I guess that's possible come playoff time. But I think you're just hoping that happens, rather than really believe it.

I dont think its debatable that the West is theirs. We'll see come playoff time.
