Especially all these fans I see traveling across the country to attend road games.

Each year, like clockwork, prices for NFL game tickets, along with the cost for beer and hot dogs at the concession stands, continues to rise. The average price of a regular season NFL game ticket during the 2016 season is about $86. The average price for a beer is about $7.40, and a hot dog is more than $5.00.
Just to sit in the nosebleed seats, drink an overpriced 12 oz. beer, and eat a soggy hot dog will cost the average person about $98.00 this season. Oh, and we left out parking.
One regular-sized beer at a Raider's home game will cost you an NFL-leading $10.75.
The average season-ticket price for the Chargers this season is roughly $192 per game. Just for the seat.

I go to 2-3 Dallas games a year.
One is with my girlfriend's work and they get a suite and the other ones are with my uncle who has season tickets.
The tickets really are expensive in the secondary market, I would never personally buy them.

I go to Dallas every Thanksgiving and every year my cousin and I get bored and go to the Dallas game spur the moment to get out the house and try to pick up some hoes lol even tho he married to my cousin but whatever.
Anyway about 150 each. I'm usually out about 300 which is what I'm out after a good Saturday night kicking it

I went to the Falcons game today.
Spent 45 on a ticket, 10 dollars on a train round trip, 10 dollars to chip in tailgate supplies, and bought one 10 dollar beer

Your cousin is married to your cousin?

No he's my cousin by marriage if that is a thing
What pisses me off is he lives there and I'm like dude why don't u get tickets before I get down there and every year we end up getting fricked in the arse for nose bleed seats
But after 2 days of family in one house u do what u got to do.
3 years ago I went and said frick it lol and drove to the Arkansas Mizzou game the next morning didn't bother saying bye or nothing I figured the roads would be clear I was right lol

Don't buy food or drink at the game is the easiest way to save money. I never pay for parking either

Majority of those fans are displaced fans - for example, Pittsburgh natives who now live in Detroit.
As far as the cost, you don't HAVE to eat a hotdog or buy a beer at the game. You can take public transit to the Dome, so no parking.
There are a lot of tickets on Stubhub for $30-$35 right now for Saints-Bucs. There are plenty of people who can swing that.

I used to have my SeatGeek or whatever set up to let me know when tickets got below 50 dollars.

drink at a bar or at home before the game
$100 tickets
3 beers at $8/each
$15 parking
that's less than $150. pretty reasonable for fun weekend activity.
