Obviously, I haven't been around here that long comparatively, but I don't see how it gets worse than LarryTheGolfer or nebraskafaninwi.

As bad as tOSU is playing and as undeserving of being #1 as I often think they are, exactly 1 year ago, if I remember correctly, they were playing as bad if not worse than they are now. Look what happened.

No. The only bad game last year was in the loss to VT. They won the other games by 3 or scores. This team is FSU 2014 2.0.

Which games?

If they continue on this way all the way to the playoff I'd agree, but they'll lose before then if they do. I think they'll pull it together though. This team has more talent and a better coach than FSU had last year.

Through 5 weeks they beat Navy by 17, Kent St. by 66, Cincinnati by 22, and Maryland by 29. Defense didn't look great but offense was clicking. They do have the talent to pull it together but talent is not everything. It doesn't help that Michigan and Northwestern are looking good too. Bama's 2010 team was one of the most talented teams Saban has ever had but they couldn't pull it together and lost 3 games.

Gotcha. I agree, but everyone wrote off not only us, but the entire Big Ten at this point last year. Ohio State might not win another national championship, and the smart money probably says they don't, but I still think they will be a much better team than FSU was by the end of the season.

I think Michigan and Northwestern (Iowa too) looking good actually does help. If Ohio State had to close out the season playing Purdue, Rutgers, and an 8-5 West champ, they'd probably sleep walk into the playoff and get the Florida State treatment. Their last three games should get them ready to play, if they make the playoff.

Leave out TCU but put Stanford in with a loss?
