Try ranking them this week. I think the top 4 will be pretty consistent with everyone, but after that its a mess.

1. Ohio State
2. TCU
3. Baylor
4. Clemson
5. Michigan State
6. LSU
7. Utah
8. Alabama
9. Florida State
10. Florida

EDIT: Clemson might be Clemsoning.

Give your reasoning for Alabama being ranked ahead of Ole Miss.
There's so little data available right now that h2h should be HEAVY factor at this point in the season.

Full disclosure: I have no clue where else to put Ohio State.

FSU in the top 10(idk where else to put them though) is a damn joke. They are so blah.

i guess i understand where you're coming from being that everyone has had close games with inferior opponents and they're the defending champs but I just have a hard time putting them at the top

That's your opinion.

This is what ACTUALLY happened. ole miss beat Bama in Tuscaloosa.

Lafter in the season as teams play more games, you could easily make a case even if they have the same record. But as of right now....

You also forgot a team in Norman who has best D in the conference and probably will win said conference.

I admire your willingness to rank Baylor fairly despite your disdain for them.

At best they tie for the conference IMO. They have to play at Baylor. I could see where OU beats TCU, TCU beats Baylor, and Baylor beats OU. All with 1 conference loss.

That defense gave up 38 at home to Tulsa, who runs a very very similar offense to Baylor.

Would you rank Florida ahead of both of them?

Based on record and quality of teams beaten:

1) Utah
2) Northwestern
3) Florida
4) Texas A and M
5) Ohio State

If this is the criteria then
quote:

4) Texas A and M
5) Ohio State

shouldn't be top 5 especially OSU.

Win over ASU looking good again. Plus MSU.

As for OSU, NIU and Indiana are actually solid teams plus Va Tech although I haven't followed them since that game.

Remember most teams have only played 3 or 4 teams with a pulse to this point.

You'll be disappointed to find out they are 2-3 with a win over Purdue and Furman. They have lost to Pitt and ECU. They're garbage.
