How do you handle a disputed call in a basketball pick up game?

Typically we argue for like 3-5 minutes (or maybe even 10 minutes depending on whether the call is on game point). Depending on how many people agree with the call going a certain way, we will typically call it that way and say that the next close call will go to the other team.
However, if there is no clear consensus (i.e., it is 50/50), then the person wanting the call will shoot for it. If he makes the shot, they get the call. If he misses, he doesn't get the call.

Depends on the races of people I am playing with.

I just pretend I'm LBJ and if you touch me I get to shoot free throws.

Even on calls involving who touched the ball last before it went out? I can't let that shite go if i know a person on the other team is clearly lying

I call fouls on myself and except others to do the same. If somebody hacks me and doesn't say anything it will come back to them eventually.

Are you fricking serious? If I'm sitting there waiting for next game you better settle that shite pretty quick. Just shoot for it and get on with the game.

This for the most part. I never bitch about calls for the most part. It is aggravating when someone doesn't admit to shite, but that's part of playing pickup.

But feel compelled to quote Cable Guy:
"Oh I see, we're playing Prison rules huh?"

I'm not a pussy, so I don't call ticky tack stuff.

I never call fouls on myself. I was referring to things such as: 1) whether or not a shot was a 2 or a 3 (or a 1-2); 2) who touched the ball last.
That's pretty much it.

Seems like this reaction is common sense, but more than you would think average joe pick-up all-stars think they are LeBron James with Joey Crawford wearing the zebra stripes.

Usually someone from the offending team will speak up and say it should be a foul or someone from the accusing team will say it wasn't a foul. The same applies for being called "out". If neither happens, the accused player will shoot for ball.
I'm lucky to have a group I play with once a week where everyone shows up and plays very physically, but still gets along, and usually treats each other with respect. We play for about 2.5 hours, and it's probably the highlight of my week.
eta: On obvious fouls, everyone will usually call it on themselves, but if someone's arm gets hit enough to affect their shot, and the offender doesn't call it, the shooter usually will.

Yeah I play with the same group of people as well. It sucks on the rare occasion when we argue about a call for 10 minutes or more. It really ruins the flow of the game

Shoot for it.
