That's going to be a really fun series.

111-61 and underachieving by 10 games

Braves 72-90
4 game improvement over last year
Rookie pitchers started 37 games this year
Rookie hitters played in a total of 395 games
Id call it a slight success. The team needs to go ahead and hire Ron Washington as manager, and maybe bring in one impact player, and Ill feel good about the teams chances to get to .500 next year, or maybe a little better.

Reds went from 69 wins last year to 68 this year. That's concerning.
ETA: Concerning may not be the word I'm looking for, even though we're supposed to be rebuilding. Frustrating is the word I'd guess. We need to see improvement next year. I think this draft will be our 4th or 5th straight drafting in the top 5.

92-70 headed to D.C to try and steal a game. Great season considering the early year struggles.

I will feel the same next year if the Braves dont improve next year.
They added in the rookies this year, and now they have their feet wet. They need to improve now.

By backing into the playoffs, being forced to use arms that needed some rest, because the offense is so Jekyll and Hyde it's pathetic.
Hanley Ramirez should be thrown in jail for robbing the Red Sox. How he continually convinces anyone he's a middle of the order type bat anymore frankly amazes me.
Mookie Betts had a 107 WRC, and just could not adjust for a large portion of the year to what pitchers were doing to him.
I have zero hope the Red Sox can make any noise, and I just know somehow Hanley's contract will vest and I'll have to sit through another year of "It's injuries, WE PROMISE THAT'S WHY HE SUCKS!".

All I remember was losing 8 straight in Oakland in the final month in the middle of a wild card race.

Ace decided to ride a dirt bike. No offense, talent getting real old, hated rivals have best record in baseball

Twins, 85-77.
A nice bounce back season, with a bonus playoff appearance where no one expects anything from them.
On the whole a great year; last year's debacle was so bad, so injury riddled that no one really expected another 100 loss season this year, but the amount of and breadth of the recovery was a breath of fresh air.
The team is undoubtedly deep into transition. While Santana has been very pleasant, no one expected quite as much development in the staff, particularly from Berrios who looks like he could be a legit #2 for a long time. The rest of the young pitching is going to need improvement, to become a true contender-- but that has been the case since the 80s-- sometimes we'll come across an ace like Santana, but overall the development of 3-4-5 has killed the best Twins teams when it came to the postseason.
Offensively, it started out rough, but as Buxton finally started to come into his own, the rest of the lineup rounded out nicely. Yes, Sano's injury and inconsistency in the last half was disappointing--- but past Twins teams would fall apart if the primary middle of the lineup bat fell off so drastically. Instead, they led the league in OPS after the All-Star break.
I expect a mild regression next year-- I'll say 80 wins, but with continued development of pitching and a sorting out of some of the short-term contracts. If Buxton can find this as his new level of every day play, and Sano can find health and a slight K rate reduction, the offense should be pretty good.
Front office wise, the franchise restructure is still in progress. Player development is inconsistent between levels, and some of the old Ryan brigade is still being escorted out-- see the firing of Mientkiewicz as a minor league manager, and the reorganization of scouting. Its going to take another 2 years to get a good grasp on what impact it will have systemically, particularly with pitching.
Overall, to stay at this level, we're going to have to keep finding some MLB level pitching career resurrections. This staff seems to be reasonably adept at that.'
Worst case, Sano or Buxton doesn't progress/gets hurt, the offense falls back to just below league average, and the pitching thinness shows up, and they fall back to 73-75 wins. Best case, the pitching comes on fast, the offense finds itself in the top 5 in the AL, and they win about 85 again.
As a Twins fan, its nice to have a reason to be happy with my team, after a lost half-decade.
