How did the Cleveland Indians not win a World Series in the 90s?

They had a hell of a roster and it still blows my mind they didn’t win a title. They had Albert Belle, Kenny Lofton, Jim Thome, Sandy Alamar Jr, and Manny Rameriz. The 1995 Indians was my favorite one.

The reliever blew a lead in the 9th of game 7 IIRC.

Pitching staff was good but a little up there in age and bullpen was thin.... still though

Roberto Alomar and Omar Visquel were a hell of a middle infield too. They were a really fun team. I had the starter jacket.

95 is one of the best teams to never win a title. They were awesome

Is that year still worse than blowing a 3-1 lead in 2016?

They didn’t have Rick “Wild Thing” Vaughn.

1. Jose Mesa blew the lead in the 9th of Game 7 in 1997.
2. 1995 WS was a classic example of great pitching beating great hitting.

I think the whole series vs the Braves, each team one by one run except for a game I believe.

As much as it hurts to say this, I think the Cubs were a better team. The Cubs starters in Games 5, 6, and 7 were Lester, Arrieta, and Hendricks. Kluber was gassed.
If Carrasco didn’t get hurt late in the regular season, he could have made the difference.

As great as their lineup was their pitching was shite

Every opponents hit was too high.

Easy answer. They had very little pitching.
