Our high school regularly competed for the state championship, but I got all the other players to stop caring about football and instead go out partying and drink at strip clubs. Ultimately I led mutiny and destroyed the entire program. I also got our highly successful coach fired and basically killed him LOL.

Back to back state champs in football. First undefeated season in school history. Didn’t powerlift that year because I could leave at 11:15 if I didn’t play a second semester sport. Had to go to work.

Quit playing baseball after my Freshman year because I wasn’t good enough to play in college. Started boxing. Tore my rotator cuff boxing when I was a Sr. Ended that shite. Went on to have a stellar career in church league softball lol.

senior year spring practice got moved from saftey to olb ,was very mad to say the least. I ended up finding out you could leave school around 11 if you didnt play football but had a job. then I found out if you quit that job you could still leave early ,you just failed the class, then found out I would still have a 3.0 if I failed that class,so I quit job and football. I then found out if you were trying at for the golf team you could play golf all you wanted at the country club ,for free.

im sure you can deduce what my lazy arse did. I quit my job and football and played golf every day all day . about a month before tryouts I ended up fricking my back up majorly. I didnt play for a month leading up to tryouts and tried out anyway. I wasnt hurt to the point of not being able to play but my timing was off. you had to shoot 42 on 9 wholes to make the team as a senior if you werent a senior you could shoot 45 because they felt you would contribute in the future and get better. I shot 43 after 3 putting number 9 .

golf won state.
football lost in the semis

Didn’t play football to focus on basketball and naturally tore my acl on the first day of basketball practice which messed up and changed a lot of things for me.

Our second best player broke his ankle early on and rushed back and was never quite right. Basically had a team of role players and inexperienced underclassmen. Team just narrowly missed the playoffs for the first time in forever and our coach resigned. It’s really sad in hindsight.

Baseball, we were ranked 6th in Florida, 6A was the highest class. Lost the district championship. Went to play two years of Juco and two in D2.

My senior year I was parade All American in football and basketball. In baseball the Dodgers wanted to draft me as the replacement for Ron Cey at third base.

I refused the Parade AA recognition and told the Dodgers not to draft me. I felt it was best to not accept these things as it would hurt my chances of getting into the priesthood.

in football we lost to redemptorist in the state semifinals on inadvertent whistle on a bounce pass, they lost to Notre Dame in the finals. Both teams and the PVB team that was beat by ND in the other Semi...were stacked.

in baseball, we lost quarters on a walk off. Were up 6-1 pulled our ace in the 6th for a really good freshman and gave two 3 run bombs and lost 7-6.

both were pretty brutal losses but football was easier to swallow because that Redemptorist team was stacked and were way more talented than us and Shelton Sampson was a damn tank.

Played football, basketball in H.S. Didn't play golf until my senior year. Won district, then whatever next and made it to state at LSU golf course. My round in the prelims was the highest so guess who teed off first in the state playoffs, me. Must have been a hundred or so players and coaches around the first tee early in the morning with a little fog. Old number one at LSU was a par four with a ditch crossing the fairway about 150 yards from the tee. My brother who was going to LSU at the time came and caddied for me on the front nine before he had to go to work. Never been so nervous on a tee box before. Just trying not to whiff in front of everyone there. Topped that sucker and it worm burns towards the ditch. Gets to the ditch and bounces over the 10-yard-wide chasm. Got a standing ovation, well they were already standing up, but got a smattering of applause. CSB

In Track I won district mile and 2 mile, placed 2nd in 2 mile at regionals which top 2 went to state, placed 4th at state in 2 mile. Just to brag a little more, my school of 2000 students had a day in my honor when I went to state for cross country with banners hung up with my name on it and 2 cheerleaders escorting me to each of my classes. My senior class had a shitty football and basketball team so I was the only thing they had to celebrate.

Do you remember what your times were?? That's freakin' awesome

Football: had a decent season for our school who is not known to be a football power of any kind. Got annihilated by JC in the first round of playoffs.

Basketball: went 0 for in the wins column. He’s seriously lol.

Baseball: Went into the playoffs as the 3 seed in the state. Won our first round game by a score of 32-3 and then got upset by a division foe who we had beaten twice before in the season.

C. Williams class of ‘71 here. Senior year they made us segregate with one of the minority schools. None of us liked the idea. I was starting CB on our team and by midseason I had lost my spot on 1st team defense to one of our African American players. We ended up winning the state championship but the real victory was social change we accomplished

You had me for a second. I got excited because I actually know people that were on that team.

They played and crushed my high school that year.
